Stanford University published a study citing a near 80% success in putting treatment-resistant depression into remission. The procedure has come to be named “Stanford Neuromodulation Therapy” (SNT). SNT is a modification of the traditional Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) we conduct here at Dr. Gupta’s Office. SNT relies on stronger magnetic pulses to expedite results. After a small open-label study of 21 patients saw 90% efficacy, a double-blind experiment was conducted and 78% of patients found remission in their symptoms in just 5 days. Long term rTMS also provides relief from depression symptoms.
